Posted on July 24, 2012 by deniseJuly 24, 2012

It’s a marketing question, for sure.  You probably wrestle with figuring that out all the time.  Should you use print advertising, direct mail, or beef up your internet presence?  If you decided to use internet advertising, look for Montana business website or their Vimeo page for help and for your investment to increase you can use this Crypto code app for trading cryptocurrencies you gained online. Playing Hooky

Posted on December 20, 2011 by deniseDecember 20, 2011

I love this time of year.  All of our bookkeepers have families, so they all want to be home baking cookies, shopping, decorating, and otherwise enjoying this joyful season. Consequently, they all work extra hard to get all their clients work up to date and complete earlier in the month, so they can start playing hooky about now.  I’m no different.  I wander in late, leave early, and am excited that the phone is not ringing with new inquires for business.  Yet. However, in another two weeks … Continue reading →

Are we there yet?

Posted on November 1, 2011 by deniseNovember 1, 2011

Nov 1st?! Why does the end of the year sneak up on me like this?   Oh, I know there’s still another 60 days, but in my world, Thanksgiving and Christmas own a lot of that time.  Next thing I know, it’s January 1 and all my clients are scrambling to do everything they meant to have completed by the end of December. This is an accountant/bookkeeper’s fact-of-life, but it doesn’t have to be yours.  Whether it’s things in your business or things in your life in … Continue reading →

September 1st–really?

Posted on September 2, 2011 by deniseSeptember 2, 2011

I’m sad.  No, I mean like really sad.  All year I look forward to summer (Check out this post to see what I’m talking about) and now it’s over.  Oh, I know, it’s still warm during the day, and crisp and lovely in the evening.  but did YOU notice what time it got dark last night?  See what I mean? All you fall lovers, shush up.  I think it’s pretty, too.  But it means winter is headed our way.  All you winter lovers, you skiers, you crazy “I … Continue reading →

Something is wrong…

Posted on August 3, 2011 by deniseAugust 3, 2011

It started out as a little scratchiness in the throat.  A little hru-umph clearing, a few swallows of water, and then it hit me.  I’m getting a summer cold.  NO WAY! Sure enough, by 7 PM I was having trouble swallowing, my nose was starting to run, and I felt, well, foggy and dull. How could this be?  I was up early this morning enjoying coffee on the deck, I had a lovely 35-minute bike ride before 8 a.m., and I had both breakfast AND lunch out! … Continue reading →

Musical Bookkeepers

Posted on May 18, 2011 by deniseMay 18, 2011

Did you ever lose your bookkeeper? I don’t mean, did they get lost in the file room or something–but did you ever suddenly NOT have the bookkeeper who was the one person who knew how to do your books, and suddenly you feel like you’re naked and alone in a confusing and harsh world? OK, that’s an overstatement.  But it’s a scary feeling:  What bills are due?  How do I print a check?  What’s the balance in our account?  How do we get payroll called in?  Don’t … Continue reading →

Posted on April 21, 2011 by deniseApril 21, 2011

So either you got your taxes done, you’re waiting for your refund (oh please don’t tell me you had to pay….) and you’re merrily on your way, OR You filed an extension (again) and are back to procrastinating mode.  Isn’t it fun?  At least you’re predictable, right?  Little known fact:  Many, many accountants are also on extension.  Does that make you feel any better?  Of course, they actually have a valid reason; they were so busy filing every one else’s that they put their own on the … Continue reading →
